Mining fund plans to list at London Stock Exchange
UK-based mining investment firm Vallar plans to raise about US$ 900 million with an initial public offer at the London Stock Exchange later this year, taking the money to make acquisitions in the sector. In a statement, the company declared it would list this year believing "the long-term global macroeconomic outlook for the global metals, mining and resources sector is positive" and that "after a number of years of consolidation, the mining industry is entering a phase of streamlining" with many targets becoming available.
